Finding the quiet stories in ordinary places
I paint and photograph the places most people walk past: river edges, market streets at dawn and kitchen tables in late light. My work is about slowing down long enough to notice them.

Street & landscape
I started with a secondhand film camera at thirteen and a box of my grandmother's watercolours. Photography taught me to look; painting taught me to wait. Most of my projects now move between the two, starting as photographs and ending as paintings.
My current series follows the Buriganga river across a year, photographing the same six places each month. Alongside it I run a weekend sketching club for younger students and design posters for school events.

Six ways I spend my time making and sharing work.
Landscape Photography
Long-running series shot in the same places across seasons, printed and sequenced as small books.
Street & Documentary
Early-morning walks through markets and ghats, photographing work, weather and everyday rituals.
Painting
Acrylic and watercolour pieces developed from my own photographs, working from colour notes made on site.
Design & Print
Posters, zines and event graphics for school clubs, with hand-drawn type and risograph-style colour.
Teaching
A weekend sketching club for younger students: observation drawing, colour mixing and simple composition.
Exhibitions
Selecting, framing and hanging work for three group shows, and writing the wall texts that go with it.

The work of Leo Martins follows the edges of cities: piers, rail lines and waterfronts where people wait, work and pass through.
Photographed over four years on foot and by bicycle, the series looks at how everyday places hold the traces of the people who use them.

Hi, I'm Tahmid.
Computer science student building tools that save people time

I design and build small automation tools, chatbots and web apps for school clubs, local shops and NGOs. From sign-up forms that sort themselves to reports that write their first draft, I turn repetitive work into something a computer can do.

About
I'm a final-year student applying to computer science programs. Most of my projects start with a friend asking 'is there a faster way to do this?' I like building things people actually use, then watching how they use them and making them better.

ProjectsNews/ExhibitionsAbout

New zine: Soil Stories, 2025, a hand-printed field guide to the fungi and insects of one school garden.
Ecological art, field research and repair
Amara Obi's studio practice sits between art and ecology. Paintings, prints and small installations grow out of months of fieldwork: soil samples, pressed leaves, notebooks and photographs from the same few places.
Recent projects include a year-long study of a school garden, a wall painting made with pigments from local clay, and a public walk that pairs drawing with species counts.
The work asks how looking closely can become a kind of care, and how art can help people notice the living systems around them.
View the projects here.
