For film students and young filmmakers

Your films, reel, stills, and credits in one place, with video that plays properly and the context to understand your role.

What a film portfolio has to do

Film is collaborative, so a film portfolio has to answer a question most portfolios don't: what did you do? Directing, cinematography, editing, writing, and sound all need to be clear, film by film.

Film programs often set their own formats and length limits for submitted work, and some ask for private links. Follow those instructions. A website gives reviewers and collaborators the wider picture: your other films, stills, scripts, and the thinking behind them.

01What your site can hold

Built around your film work.

  • A showreel

Short and current, at the top where people expect it.

  • Film pages

The film itself, logline, runtime, year, your role, and full credits.

  • Stills and behind the scenes

Frames and set photos that show your eye.

  • Development work

Script excerpts, storyboards, and shot lists.

  • Screenings and festivals

    Selections, screenings, and awards.

  • Private films

Password-protected pages for festival rules or unreleased work.

02 · Why custom design matters

How we present film work

A template decides the layout before it has seen your work. We design the other way round.

Video that plays properly
Films hosted on a platform such as YouTube or Vimeo and embedded, so playback adapts to the connection. Pages load a light preview until someone presses play.
Chosen thumbnails
Strong still frames you pick, not whatever the platform generates.
Credits done consistently
Roles and credits laid out the same way on every film.
Aspect ratios preserved
Widescreen and letterboxed work shown as it was framed.

03 · Before we start

What to prepare

  • Final exports or existing links to your films
  • Your chosen stills for each film
  • Credits, with your role on each film
  • A one-line logline per film
  • Festival or screening details, and collaborators' permission where needed

Always follow each program's own submission requirements first. Your website complements them.

04 · How it works

Five steps, each approved by you
